Construction Foreman

Role Overview: Oversees day-to-day field work on residential projects, leads a small crew, and ensures tasks
are completed safely, to scope, and on schedule. Requires hands-on trade ability, blueprint interpretation, and strong communication.
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership
• Direct and coordinate small crew
• Assign tasks and monitor productivity
• Work hands-on as needed (tools-on)
Blueprint & Scope
• Read and interpret residential plans
• Communicate scope to crew and subcontractors
• Verify layout and installation requirements
Residential Trades
• Framing & carpentry
• Drywall & finishes
• Flooring & cabinets
• Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC
• Exterior work (siding, roofing, fencing)
Quality & Safety
• Inspect workmanship for finish quality
• Maintain clean and safe job sites
• Enforce basic PPE and safe practices Logistics & Procurement
• Coordinate deliveries and equipment
• Create material lists
• Notify owner/PM of shortages or changes
Communication
• Report progress and challenges to owner/PM
• Interface with homeowners, inspectors, and subs
• Document issues aecting time/cost/quality
Qualifications
• 3+ years of residential construction experience
• Reads/interprets residential plans
• Leads small crews (2–6 workers)
• Valid driver's license & transportation
• Independent problem-solving
Compensation
Starting Wage: $25/hour
Pay Range: $25/hour and up DOE (verifiable experience & skill)
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Owner or Project Manager
Crew Size: 2–6 laborers
